History, Art and Politics: Critical Perspectives from Within Parliament

In a relaxed and informal setting, we warmly invite you to engage in a conversation on how history and art shape public consciousness and influence cultural policy. We will be joined by Bonnie Triyana, historian, founder of Historia magazine, and member of the Indonesian Parliament.
As a historian, Bonnie Triyana has long advocated for a critical and reflective engagement with history, particularly regarding colonialism, national identity, and the politics of memory. He has also been actively involved in efforts to decolonize cultural heritage, including the process of returning Prince Diponegoro’s kris from the Netherlands to Indonesia.
