Drop plans to burn palm oil in power stations!

10 Oktober 2006

Letter to Richard Frost and Anita Longley, Npower (RWE)

Berlin, 10 Oktober 2006

Dear Mrs. Longley, Dear Mr. Frost,

The Renewables Obligation is supposed to help companies develop clean, climate-friendly technologies and a viable domestic renewable energy sector. Palm oil is neither clean nor climate-friendly. For producer countries like Indonesia, the growing demand for palm oil turns ... read more

A Common Vision For Transforming The European Paper Industry

A Common Vision For Transforming The European Paper Industry

27 January 2006

Long Term Vision

We, the undersigned, want to see a future Europe that consumes dramatically less paper than at present, with all that paper made by an industry that is less reliant on virgin tree fibres, maximises use of recycled materials, respects local people’s land rights, provides employment and has social impacts that are beneficial, conflict-free and fair. We want to see all of Europe’s paper being made from responsibly- and sustainably-sourced fibres, using entirely renewable ... read more
